Walking in, we encountered a heated exchange between a guest and staff member, setting a less-than-ideal tone. The hotel shows clear signs of age, with notable peeling wallpaper and stained carpets in the hallways. A musty smell lingered, especially in the corridor where the unfinished drywall on the ceilings became unmissable. Our bathroom wasn't immaculate either. mold was present above the shower, and the vanity area had bubbling wallpaper, hinting at potential water issues.

I stayed 3 nights in an accessible room that was surprisingly spacious, with clean linens and a comfy bed that helped us unwind after long days. The staff was kind and even went out of their way to recommend local spots for us to grab dinner, which I really appreciated.

We had a fantastic time visiting Moody Gardens during our stay! The room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family. My father loved the comfortable king bed, and we appreciated the small gym for our morning workouts.

We hit up Galveston Beach and went to Moody Gardens. The place was super clean, and the staff were friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast too! Indoor pool looked fun, but we didn’t swim. We definitely would come back.

One downside was the group smoking right outside the front door when we returned at night. It was hard to walk through the smoke to get in.

The staff demonstrated exceptional helpfulness, and the gym was well-equipped and clean. The mattress in the room, however, proved to be too soft, making it uncomfortable for resting, leading us to resort to sleeping on the floor. Although the staff initially had difficulty understanding our needs, we eventually obtained the extra blankets we required for a more comfortable night's sleep.
